Uncertain Climate Prompts Launch of Business Protect Service
New Service Allows Businesses to Reduce Financial Risk
A service to allow companies to carry out financial checks on existing and potential customers and key suppliers has been launched by Albert Road-based accountancy firm Adams Moore, which has become one of the only firms to offer such a comprehensive service in the Midlands. Business Protect is designed to help businesses reduce their financial risk in a difficult economic climate, something which Adams Moore has identified as a growing requirement.
Adams Moore partner Martin Crook said: “Carrying out the right financial checks on customers and key suppliers is of vital importance for the future success of any business, but for some it may seem like a costly and laborious process. However, it is not one that should be overlooked as we have witnessed the damaging effect bad debts can have on a business. The challenging financial climate means some companies may cut corners in this area as they may simply not know how to properly research them. We want to help our clients work with the right sort of clients and suppliers, which is why we decided to launch a safeguarding service.
“With Business Protect, companies can order a report on any company of their choosing, which will give important information such as financial history, current credit score and credit score history, payment history, details of any county court judgements or adverse credit history and details on directors. Whilst this is all information that is available through a variety of different sources and at differing costs, Business Protect is more comprehensive and offers a one-stop-shop. It also features a unique addition in that companies can choose to monitor a supplier or customer using our live data feed, which can flag up early indicators of potential risk or reward,” he added.
Business Protect is the latest service to be launched by Adams Moore following the launch of its fixed fee support service Board Support and SpecificStudy, a unique investigative business service. Its innovative approach to meeting client needs has been recognised by the British Accountancy Awards, for which Adams Moore has been shortlisted.
Martin added: “We’re finding businesses need more from their accountancy services than a simple tax return or payroll service. By offering a range of options and services, we can adapt our approach to suit both clients’ needs as they change in the evolving economic climate.”
