Square Peg Activities has been supporting disabled children since 2014 and has been registered as a charity for the past 4 years.
When one of the founders couldn’t find anywhere suitable to take her two children who had both been diagnosed with Autism to play, she, with her mother, decided to do something about it and started a small stay and play in school holidays.
Since then, the organisation has grown into their own premises, with 2 indoor spaces, 2 gardens, a sensory room, a youth den and a gaming room.
What we do –
Term time: after school Lego club, gaming club, and youth club with home ed club and pre-school club for kids and adult sessions for those over 18
School Holidays: two sessions per day every weekday with a different activity each day. Over 200 children use the facility. We support children and adults of any age with any disability and actively welcome siblings. The community that has grown organically over the years, supports parents by way of peer support as well as our calendar of social events.
Since switching to Adams Moore our accounting needs have been met perfectly. We love how the staff are responsive and that although we are a small charity, we are always treated as a valuable client. Thanks all.
